Montgomery County Law
Enforcement Memorial
For the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial, artist James Dinh envisioned five towering 30-foot spires featuring an intricate woven lattice pattern symbolizing strength, unity, and remembrance.
Budde’s challenge was to transform that artistic concept into durable, precisely fabricated steel structures.
Each spire began as flat steel panels. Budde:
- CNC laser cut the intricate interlacing pattern
- Formed the panels into three-dimensional geometry
- Welded them into triangular towers
- Reinforced seams for structural strength while preserving the clean design
- Added mounting points
- Checked the completed structures for accuracy
- Prepared the spires for transportation
- Helped lift and anchor the finished structures at their site along the Great Miami River
Seed of Life Memorial
Budde was also proud to help fabricate and install Dayton’s Seed of Life Memorial, created to honor the nine lives lost in the 2019 Oregon District tragedy.
